Me and Liz before she left for school this morning!

I've met the kids!

I was able to meet the kids, Dakota & Elizabeth or Liz for short, yesterday afternoon! They met us at Mommy's car as soon as we arrived home. Of course, being the lovable fella that I am, I met them both with kisses. We had a nice time in the yard getting to know one another.

Once inside, chaos broke out! They are some hyper kids! And I thought I had some energy! Whew! Mommy made sure to keep me close and we all laid on the floor for a little while. I still wouldn't sit in their laps though. Mommy's lap was good enough!

After a while, mommy put me back in my puppy crate so she could cook supper. I don't think she was comfortable leaving me out running around while she was busy. I had my chew bone so I was content. Once mommy had everyone fed and bathed, she allowed me to come back out so I could eat and play again.

Liz was a little calmer this go around so I sat in her lap for a little while as we all watched tv. It was pretty comfy! She still makes me a little nervous though so I didn't let mommy get too far out of my sights. Soon, it was bedtime for the kids so I gave kisses goodnight and watched as mommy tucked them in.

Mommy and I played tug-of-war for a little bit and I chased her around the living room a couple of times! It was a lot of fun! She eventually sat down in the recliner but she would NOT pick me up and it upset me! So...I told her about it! I shocked her! I don't think she realized I could talk! Her facial expression was so funny! Then of course, she laughed! She even called Mamaw and Papaw and had them listen to me talk to her! Humans are so funny!

All in all though, it was a good night. It rained for most of the night but I wasn't scared. Mommy sleeps close by. I did have to get up in the middle of the night to go "potty". I've learned though, that when it rains and mommy holds the umbrella, it's better to do my business under the umbrella than out in the rain! It's cold when you're wet! Plus...not sure I like mommy drying me off every time I come back inside. It's alot of fun though to grab her towel and pull on it when she's trying to dry me off. :)

Until my next post...just remember...cats drool while dogs rule!!

A Day at the Office

Mommy decided to take me to work today! The kids will be home this afternoon and she wanted us to surprise them when we get home! It's going to be so great! I love kids so I'm so excited!

Mommy's coworkers were really nice. She took me around and introduced me to everyone. Alot of people wanted to hold me but I'm a little shy. I didn't want anyone but my mommy to hold me. I'm still a little scared of new people. She didn't let me go too far though. She was always right there so when I wanted to come back, she would let me!

We had lunch in her office and afterwards, we went outside and played! We ran around dodging rain drops! It was a lot of fun! Unfortunately, the rain started coming down faster so we went back inside. I cried a little! I wanted to stay outside and play!!

Mommy brought my carrier but I've been a good boy so she hasn't made me get in it. I even had a photo shoot in her office! She's very proud of me and that makes me feel so special! I think I'm going to like this new family!!

I have posted a few pictures that my mommy took!

New Family....New Home....YIKES

Well, last night my new family arrived to take me to my new home. They seemed nice enough when they got there but it was scary leaving my mom and my old family behind. They live 2 hours away so it was a long journey. I'm ashamed to say, I cried for most of the way! My new "mommy" is very nice though. She even took me to my favorite store....Petsmart!! She bought me a new collar, an ID tag (so she knows who I am), and even a new crate! It's great! It even has a Chamomile blanket in the bottom. It's VERY soft!

When we got "home", she let me run around the yard and get familiar with things. She played with me for a while as did my "grandparents". My new "Aunt" is very nice too. She calls me "kid" even though we all know my name is Harley.

Mommy took me inside after a while because it was starting to rain and the thunderstorm was starting to scare me. She picked me up and held me close and talked sweetly to me. It calmed me right down! The house was nice! It has carpet so I'm going to have to be extra careful and go "potty" outside like a big boy!

I have a special dog bowl and everything there! After we played and I ate my supper, mommy gave me a special doggie treat for being so good. She let me cuddle with her in the recliner while we watched her favorite tv shows! It was so nice!

Bedtime came a little early, but I was ready! It had been a very long day! I didn't complain a bit when she said it was time to go to bed! I slept like a newborn pup!

About Me

Hi! My name is Harley! I am a very well behaved Yorkshire Terrier. I was born in June of 2009, in Rose Bud, Arkansas, along with my sister. I love to cuddle with my family and run in the yard when I go out.
